Pilar Castro-Kiltz, Founder

Driven by creating value, meaning, and connection through business and the arts, founder Pilar Castro-Kiltz builds lasting relationships with clients to understand their goals, find solutions to obstacles, and deliver ongoing designs and advisement. With an MBA from The Wharton School and an MFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Pilar is a strategy and marketing expert, with experience founding and developing new organizations and businesses.

Observing a need for marketing and branding services for artists, Pilar founded More Canvas Consulting in 2014. After earning her MBA, she expanded the firm to provide strategic advisory and marketing services for small businesses and entrepreneurs in a variety of industries.

With a Bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, in 2013 Pilar founded The Princeton Arts Alumni—a network and resources for arts creators, patrons, managers and enthusiasts. The group engages alumni in and for the arts: across disciplines, geographies, and decades, and aims to bring services beyond the alumni community.

Jennifer Santiago, Marketing Manager

With 12 years' experience guiding project teams for globally-dispersed startups, Jennifer Santiago offers extensive background in streamlining communication strategies, analyzing news and social media, improving brand positioning, and bringing organization to all levels of project management. With a history of working directly with communication departments for Fortune 500 companies, congressional committees, and federal agencies, Jennifer is driven by providing meaningful value.

Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor's degree in English and a minor in journalism from Emporia State University, combining her corporate experience with a love for storytelling to help small businesses and entrepreneurs achieve their marketing and branding goals.

Outside of More Canvas Consulting, Jennifer is passionate about writing fiction, reading anything she can get her hands on, and getting outdoors with her family.

Julia Walton, Consulting Analyst

Julia graduated with honors from Princeton University, where she received a bachelor's degree in English and minors in Humanistic Studies, East Asian Studies, and Creative Writing. At Princeton, she also served as Editor-in-Chief of The Nassau Literary Review, Princeton's historic literary magazine, and Editor of On Craft and Process, Princeton Arts Alumni's collaborative multimedia publication. She brings tested skills as a writer, researcher, and project manager to her work at More Canvas Consulting.

Julia enjoys watching movies, reading, and tending her ever-growing collection of succulents.

Calvin Van Zytveld, Accessibility Consultant

Following rapid onset blindness in 2020, Calvin Van Zytveld immersed himself in the study of accessible technology and universal design. While at the Michigan Bureau of Services for Blind Persons Training Center, Calvin spearheaded the development of a curriculum for teaching the nonvisual use of Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs). His work at More Canvas includes assessing compliance with accessibility guidelines, always striving to create websites that represent the highest aesthetic value, while being accessible for the greatest possible number of users.

An accomplished cellist, composer, and scholar, Calvin graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University in 2019. He also studied at the Royal College of Music, London, and has done graduate work at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Calvin enjoys playing jazz drums, growing organic produce in his backyard, and traveling with his guide dog, Wake.

 

Patricia Vargas, Marketing Assistant

Patricia graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing in June 2021. For as long as she can remember, she's always been fascinated by advertising, creative thinking, and content creation, whether photography, drawing or playing around with graphics; Interests that led her to fall in love with marketing.

With a curious personality and an ever-growing interest in learning, Patricia is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in the top management of companies. In the future, she plans on learning more about graphic design to complement her studies in marketing and broaden her perspectives.

Outside of work, she enjoys listening to all genres of music, playing video games, watching movies, and is a huge Marvel and Star Wars fan.

 

Noelle Dela Cruz, Marketing Assistant

With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration Management and Communication Studies from Augustana College, Noelle Dela Cruz graduated with honors, and found herself participating in many extracurriculars after playing on the Women’s Varsity Volleyball team for her first two years. Noelle served as the co-founder of the first Communication’s Club at Augustana and participated as a member of various other leadership clubs. She is passionate about learning how to research and analyze information to clearly and cogently communicate topics through writing and speaking. 

You will most likely catch Noelle outdoors doing some type of physical activity while listening to her favorite jams!

A graduate from the Kellogg School of Management and armed with a Bachelors in Economics and Dance from Northwestern University, Thomas Boyer has worked in and studied a variety of industries - focusing primarily on finance and analytics. After receiving his M.S. in Management Studies, he began helping small businesses and arts organizations increase as well as generate new revenue streams, design multimedia marketing plans, and launch e-commerce ventures.

Runako Campbell is a professional dancer skilled across commercial, concert, and theatrical styles. She graduated with honors from Princeton University where she majored in African American Studies and received a Certificate in the Program in Dance. Runako joined GroundWorks DanceTheater in early 2021 as a full-time dance artist. Her performance credits also include performing with Jack Harlow for Complex Magazine’s ComplexLand event. Runako Campbell is a professional dancer skilled across commercial, concert, and theatrical styles. She graduated with honors from Princeton University where she majored in African American Studies and received a Certificate in the Program in Dance. Runako has performed with GroundWorks DanceTheater as a company artist and with Jack Harlow for Complex Magazine’s ComplexLand event. She is currently in the Broadway cast of Jagged Little Pill. Runako is represented by The Movement Talent Agency and you can follow her on Instagram @runakocampbell.

James Winkels

Consulting Analyst Intern
Summer 2021

James Winkels is pursuing a degree in Finance from the Curtis L. Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, with a concentration in business valuation and corporate mergers and acquisitions. He is an active member of the learning community active in the Undergraduate Consulting Club, the Undergraduate Business Analytics Club, and the Investment and Finance Organization. James is expected to graduate in 2024, and is currently working as a Consulting Team Lead for Impact Consulting.

Sophie Blue graduated from Princeton University in 2021 as an Anthropology major with certificates in Dance, Cognitive Science, and Gender Studies. She is now pursuing her MA in Performing Arts Administration at NYU. In 2019 she founded Trenton Youth Dancers as a fellow for Trenton Arts Fellowship, working to expand the accessibility of dance for communities surrounding Princeton. She has also interned for the Dance Division at the 92nd Street Y, Sidra Bell Dance New York, and A.I.M by Kyle Abraham.

Alice Xu

Marketing Intern
Summer 2020

Alice Xu is an educator and writer, with special experience in poetry, the works of Jane Austen, and literature curriculum for young adults. Currently an English teacher at Princeton High School, Alice graduated from Princeton University in 2020 with a degree in English, and certificates in Creative Writing and Teacher Prep. In 2020, she was awarded the Edward H. Tumin Memorial Prize for her senior thesis on Jane Austen's novels, and as Managing Editor of the Nassau Literary Review, she utilized her skills in organization management, relationship building, and marketing to advance the mission of the publication.
